DEFINITION: n., A Christmas tree, ornament or caroler that, no matter how it is tied, tethered and tilted, refuses to stay upright. v., To be so full of Christmas cheer that you simply sparkle, twinkle and tip over.
DEFINITION: n., An ugly decorative item or article of clothing received from friends or relatives, which is kept stored away but ready to be pulled out at a moment's notice in anticipation of a return visit. v., To temporarily place an old, and perhaps unattractive gift in a place of honor.
DEFINITION: v., To leave out an important ingredient when you are sharing a favorite recipe so that no one else can make it taste as good as yours. n., A recipe that is missing one or more key ingredients.
DEFINITION: n., A person so enamored with the holidays that they don't just deck their halls and home, but they also decorate their car, their cubicle, their pets, and themselves. v., To obsessively decorate according to seasonal holidays.
DEFINITION: v. intr. To frustrate oneself by sending emails to someone who cannot receive them, especially when "over quota". n. An emotional response to bounced-back email.
DEFINITION: v. To lie about your age. n. A misrepresentation about your age, usually done in order to appear younger or older.
DEFINITION: n. The euphoria felt when sticking one's hand surreptitiously into a barrelful of rice, peas, or other legumes. v. To plunge your hand into a container of rice.
DEFINITION: v. To pretend to be enthusiastic even when you are not, simply because everyone else is. n. Fake enthusiasm.
