To top that, he got a promotion and big raise that should have been hers. While she slaved away ensuring that the project was completed on time, he swanned off to join the boss for golf every Wednesday afternoon. That Bill was just schmoozing his way into the old boys' network and she was left behind to do all the work! This Wednesday things had changed, as if in answer to Jane's prayers. After the "boys" went off for their weekly golf game, a dreadful storm had blown in. At the 15th hole, Bill had been struck dead by lightening and perished. Jane's reaction, between crocodile tears, was one of coolamity...now they'd have to promote her to fill Bill's place. She liked that...her new name would be Coolamity Jane!
