And it's more dangerous to your mental health, too. Nearly all people have been afflicted with second thoughts, at some time or another. The second-psysightchiatrists are always trying to analyze this ask-back-words, all pervasive condition, among all humans. They have named it backteriology.

Etymology: First there is the very obvious homonymous pun on bacteriology.
