Sentence: Derek woke up to a very uneasy feeling of fatemail the morning after the office christmas party. He, of course had had far too much to drink, but he couldn't have made a fool of himself by stripping naked and running round the grounds, no, he had to wait til he got home and send an email to all his co-workers telling them exactly what he thought of them. The worst thing was he told everyone his boss was an overbearing tyrant who only got the job because his father was a managing director of the company, he knew it wouldn't be long before he got to read this statement so he vowed that as soon as he sobered up he would go out and buy the paper and look through the situations vacant pages.

Every day he woke to a prison of mediocrity and banality, where 'unreasonable' people refused to bend to suit his narcissistic views. Unable to stand the incessant anxiety, Sam escaped each evening to the comforts of drunken stupor; a slurrealistic realm where he was king. One evening after a particularly unproductive day of pointless meetings Sam snapped. He downed a case of his favourite lager, opened his laptop, and began to compose. He cajoled his colleagues, belittled his boss, and flummoxed his friends. Finally, exhausted and relieved, he collapsed upon his keyboard and drooled himself to sleep. Through the haze of far-too-much and way-too late he remembered how he thought it would be amusing to see if he could send e-mails to everybody in his address book. Most of them were stupid or made no sense at all but there, in the SENT folder, was the queasemail - that one that he felt deep in the pit of his stomach. Sentence: Riley really felt hangmailed this morning in more ways than one. First, there was the enormous headache and queasiness from his hangover. But most horribly, he felt a sense of impending doom over the emails he thought he remembered sending last night. Did he really tell off his boss, his girlfriend, his brother and his best friend all in the span of a few hours? He was afraid to open his inbox.

Etymology: Hang (kill by hanging, hang one's head in shame; to be menacing, burdensome, or oppressive; "This worry hangs on my mind") + Hang is the beginning of the word hangover. The last part of the word is mailed (past tense of mail, as in its too late)....you've been hanged with your mail!!
