Devittles
Created by: Banky
Pronunciation: Deh-viht-tills
Sentence: Off turned the light, and the nightly terror began for the as-yet-unexpired food. The nosferatuna slid stealthily into door hopper, where the condiments rested. A silent shadow, it sunk its celery fangs into the neck of the mayonnaise jar, gorging upon its salty fatty humors. Having turned, the zomayo lurched itself over its retaining wall and began to feast on the cauliflower, which it had mistaken in its saturated stupor for brains. A large sasquash ripped its way through the forest of broccoli and emerged upon a family of tomatoes, huddling in the corner of the produce crisper. A gout of seeded ichor sprayed across the front of the clear plastic drawer. Then, a hush fell through the refrigerator as the elder god of the cooler, Cthulhummus rose, an amorphous evil clad in finest shimmering Saran. Muffled screams issued from the magnetic seal around the door, but fell upon sleeping ears. Tonight the devittles reigned, and no food would go untainted.
Etymology: devil (or possibly deviant) + vittles

Salamonella
Created by: bananabender
Pronunciation: suh-LAHM-mun-el-uh
Sentence: It was hiding behind the egg carton festering technicolours, foul odours, and a plan of escape. "I'm not supposed to be in here" it thought, "I'm a hot salami and it's way too cold in here for me." It waited... and waited... and festered... and festered. She opened the door, light flooded the room, warm air rushed in like a breath of spring and it knew that this was the moment to seize the day! Salamonella was born and salamonella will reign supreme! Until the frankfurtenstein develops grandiose ideas, that is.
Etymology: salami + salmonella

I'm going to have to vote for this word based solely on it's nauseating construction. Even without sentence or etymology, it sounds sickening. You almost don't want to know the definition. Brrrrrrrr! - metrohumanx, 2008-12-01: 14:13:00
Powerful word. It makes me want to barf and scream ... especially on the second syllable! How can a verbotomy be so excellent but still be so nauseating? - silveryaspen, 2008-12-01: 17:41:00
