Sentence: When Sam agreed to help out at the local under 10's cricket club he didn't realise how dangerous it could be. Being one player down he stepped in to help, only to be knocked out by a speeding cricket ball. As he came round he was completely twittersplatted, all he could see were stars, flashing lights and little tweety birds. A night in hospital soon had him back on his feet, but he decided to give cricket a miss from then on.
Etymology: Twitter(of a bird, a series of light tremulous sounds)+ Splat(ted)(The sound of being struck by a heavy or hard object)
