Colorful as they were, she knew he'd never paid for a magazine in his life, so this gift was done up in wrapsofree. His gift to her from the Gapsody would have been better received if he had not stolen pages from his Dadsody's stash of Playboys. For that he got a slapsody, after which he needed a napsody!

He had become a DOPPELPACKERATZEL- an eccentric double-packing enigma who ironed the creases from Christmas paper and stored it in the attic to use again and again. He once gave Eva an ersatz Swiss watch wrapped in yellowed paper which had been used at least thrice. Eva was bemused by the fact she had been DOPPELPACKERATZELED again this year.
