Some clever cosmetics to bring out her pretty face, a trip to the salon, contact lenses, a new flashy wardrobe and a resultant new sense of confidence turned Wanda from a shy lab-rat into a comic-book heroine. Bertrand knew something was afoot when he walked into work and his thick glasses immediately fogged up (a reaction).
