Beertrayal
Created by: Nosila
Pronunciation: beer tray al
Sentence: Sonia was the bridesmaidzilla from hell. A quiet friend whom the bride, Terry, had confided in since they met in high school, had changed personas when she imbibed in copious amounts of beer or other refreshments. After the stress of the wedding day and all the demands placed on her, Sonia had let loose at the reception. In Vino Veritas indeed...in beer is beertrayal, in champagne is pain, in rye is awry, in rum is rumbled, in brandy is randy and in cider is insider inside her! She grabbed the mike and wrapped her mouth around the end of it (was his name Mike, she could not remember?). She blabbed the usual sophomoric tittle-tattle about Terry being the school bike and then to the utter shock of everyone, especially the poor groom (a Baptist Pastor), she uttered the words that the bride had never hoped to hear again. Before she passed out on stage, exposing to the guests the fact that she wore no underpants, Sonia blabbed that Terry had had gender reassignment surgery...yes, the bride really used to be a groom!
Etymology: beer (one of many alcohol beverages when taken in excess can loosen the tongue, shed inhibitions and lose discretion) & betrayal (to reveal unintentionally,to fail or desert especially in time of need, to disclose in violation of confidence or to lead astray)
