She is such a creditz that she reasons that she is actually making money doing this, because while the credit card company charges 8% interest on what she owes, the money that's sitting in her mutual fund earning interest is supposedly making more than that. Except she forgot that the stock market hasn't been doing too well lately, and, oh yeah, paying $39 late fees isn't helping her "make money" either.
