Falsezeal

Pronunciation: fals zeel
Sentence: Brendan always seemed to have to use falsezeal when expressing himself about other people's choices. Like when his Mom announced she had made a lovely grapefruit and tomato pie for dessert. Or when his Dad invited him to play a Monopoly marathon (in other words, they play all night until his Dad wins). Or when his girlfriend a) told him she was 3 months pregnant and b) wanted to name their child something unusual like movie star baby name choices, such as CocoPuff Pepperoni or Diesel Dragnetto. Yes, maybe if poor Brendan became a man and aired his own opinion, he wouldn't have to always falsezeal himself!
Etymology: false ( not genuine or real; being an imitation) & Zeal ( excessive fervor to do something or accomplish some end; a feeling of strong eagerness)
