Long ago, some clever person decided to drill a peephole in the side wall between the two shops. The butcher had a packle of kids and the family lived above the shop. Whenever a call came in for someone up the street, the pharmacist would yell through the hole who the call was for and the butcher would dispatch one of the brood to go get the recipient. This social network system was called the villagepeephole and was used constantly, until the day that phones became more affordable to the town's people.
