Sentence: Since Edward had married Maria, a girl who came from a large Italian family, they had had no privacy. To save money, they lived in her parents' large home, along with Maria's married sisters, brothers, their spouses and all their bambinis. Edward could put up with the noise (no one talked quietly, they all shouted at the same time) and he could put up with their involvement in any decisions he and Maria made as a couple. Edward finally told Maria that the only thing that would help their love life was olive oil. Puzzled, Maria could not figure out how this could help, until she saw him slathering the doorknob with it. Yes, that should keep them all out! And it was a good old-fashioned Italian cure!
