There was almost an audible pause in the hubbub of conversation in the room as the collective consciousness of those present registered the newcomers' error. And there was the indrawing of breath before the compliment-begging whine, how bad she was at her job, how fat she felt, how hard-done-by she was by all those people who took advantage of her sooo generous nature. Sentence: Georgia was at it again....she really knew how to manipubait everyone into saying the things she needed to hear.... "Don't you think my hair is really looking ratty today", "Look at all the puffiness under my eyes", "I really need to get a tighter girdle. Things are escaping that you don't want to see"...etc, etc. She always got the results she wanted....lots of comments on how thin, pretty, young and intelligent she was.

Pronunciation: joi-DI-rahyd.

Sentence: The strange sounds that echoed in my head, obviously were even funnier on my lips, for my French speaking classmates laughed till they cried. And every day my pronunciation sounded worse, and there was nothing I could do to improve it. Then one day I said to myself, Bob you’re on a winner here; milk it, be the butt of their jokes, slip in a few Malay words and they will love you even more. It was fantastic I was more popular than ever before; the hurt had gone; the “joie de jeers” were now sweet music to my ears; my emotional tank was full again, and it was seat-belts on for the joyderide of my life.

Etymology: Blend of joy, joyride, & deride. Perhaps in line with the french flavour of my sentence, the verbotomy should be, "joie de ride".
