Inpetyougush

Created by: Nosila

Pronunciation: in pet u gush

Sentence: Simone realized she was a pet owner who was impetyougush. She had found Marshmallow, her white Persian cat when a kitten and raised her to sleek adulthood. Marshmallow slept 16-20 hours a day on the top of the couch. Simone fed her, cleaned out her stink box and just when she felt unappreciated, Marshmallow would roll over on her back and look adorable. When Simone came home from a hard day, Marshmallow would reach our her paw and touch Simone, so that she had no choice but to pat her. Then the purring would commence and Simone would unwind and relax. She soon realized that people measured cats' intelligence by their own standards. If you were an impartial observer, you'd wonder who was smarter: a cat who did whatever it wanted all day long with no accountability or pressures or the stupid human who raced home from a hard day at work to strain poop out of kitty litter, fill up the food bowl and put clean water in a dish and then hope the animal you did all that for would grace you with a purr or tummy rub offer or rub against your legs. Yep, cats aren't the stupid ones, are they??

Etymology: Impetuous (characterized by undue haste and lack of thought or deliberation) & Pet (preferred above all others and treated with partiality; a domesticated animal kept for companionship or amusement) & You Gush (you give an unrestrained expression of emotion)

Sentence: Her dog Mimado usually lay around the house like a pettedplant, and today was no exception. "Oh, smoochiepoochie!" she exclaimed fondly as her dog pet-ter-pattered over and settled down in her lap for one of his 3-hour naps. The fact that Mimado was now almost 90 pounds was beginning to weigh on her, both literally and figuratively. But she had created this monster, and now she was being hoisted by her own pet-ard.

Adorablob

artr

Created by: artr

Pronunciation: ədôrəbläb

Sentence: Wes thinks he owns a cat. He is wrong. That thing that eats cat food, purrs when scratched is not a cat at all. Cats are barely domesticated creatures that hunt mice and other small critters. Cats are agile and light of foot. Wes’ pet is none of these. What he has is an adorablob, a cute, treat eating, litter soiling lump of fur with the about as much ambition of a sofa cushion. Last week Wes had to trap and remove a mouse that was starting to establish a nest on Fatty McButterpants’ belly.

Etymology: adorable (inspiring great affection; delightful; charming) + blob (an indeterminate mass or shape)
